Hacked Wii problems

I hacked my wii the other day(which i highly recomend by the way) but I have a few problems. One the Wii always fails to see my usb flash drive plugged in. Two none of the emulators save the games after I'm done playing them. I load the roms and have to restart from the beginning every time. I was just wondering if any was sharing my frustration or has a solution. Thanks in advance

refer to the homebrew community for help, the Wii in a sense is closed source code and we really have no idea how it all works in comparison to windows. I have hacked capabilities from mine but not installed to Wii main memory, its all contained in the SD card
