A way to de-gloss a laptop screen?
Ok, I'm finally replacing my old Dell Inspiron 4000 for christmas. My parents bought be a Dell Inspiron 15, nice specced laptop, but my only real issue with it is the glossy screen. I don't like glossy screens at all, especially since I'll be using it in bright rooms and outdoors.
Is there any possible way to either remove the glossy layer on the screen, or coat it in something that will give it a matte finish to reduce reflections? I've googled this and some people have suggested sanding it with very fine sandpaper, I doubt I'd try that at all though. ![]() Any help on this will be greatly appreciated!

Try Vikuiti Privacy Filters by 3M. Supposedly they reduce the gloss by a good bit.

The Vikuiti anti glare film looks like exactly what I'm after, although I might have a bit of an issue finding it in Australia. Thanks for informing me of the existence of anti glare films!
