Furmark benchmark thread (5XXX series edition)

It's in your best interest not to run this bench with a hd 4870. Some of them use a different voltage configuration and they'll be fine, but some of the earlier cards can't take this benchmark. -erocker

If you would like to participate please grab Furmark which can be had here.

I will group off ranks in individual classes, 5850, 5770, 5850 etc. Radeon 5000 series GPU only!

Use the following settings (default)



Please post results with GPUz+Cpuz screen along side the results screen (realtemp/coretemp not required)

ok cool. just make sure the resolution is marked as used above.

Only with multi GPU i think you actually lose out on crossfire in windowed mode, or at least you used to, anyway I just get some odd flickering in fullscreen but not windowed, really odd.

ive ran furmark 20-30 times on 5 different cards. never had that happen.

I turned the clock down a bit and got a better score in fullscreen with no flickering

our scores are pretty consistent if you were to believe that a 5870 is like 5770 in xfire and yours is OC'd too. nice run man

5870 is a monster. 200+ max fps.. min 120fps.. wow

i want erocker to come by and show off the 5850 xfire

edit: ive never overclocked a gpu. gotta do some reading before I go frying this 12 hour old card but i probably will not even attempt to unless someone crushes my score on the 5770 slot

shev, you should use version 1.65, you'll probablly get a better score.

yeah i did a second run using the 1.65 and gained a few points.

Oh, this is the correct link to my processor. It's a C3 stepping which is the 125W version.

I noticed on yours erocker, the min FPS is still as low as a single card, or thereabouts, do you get that in games?

Of course! Going back years with any CrossFire or SLi system I've used that's the way it is. Games seem to work better than benchmarks though. Both cards are indeed under full load the entire time and I never noticed the FPS dipping that low during the benchmark. It was most likely some sort of "hiccup" during the bench.

I will play this game 5970 @ default 5870 clocks... I think my PCI-E 1.1 slot is bottlenecking this card... Must upgrade to a new MB fast.

I believe that was Athlon's 275 that when down in flames. I'll post up when I gets home.

Just a point of interest, Fahim's score is done @1440x900.
I suggest a re-bench.
