Scythe Announces Mugen 2 Rev. B, and LGA1156 Mounting Kit

Scythe announces the long awaited Rev. B of Mugen 2 CPU Cooler. New version (Model No. SCMG-2100) comes with improved mounting clips allowing easier and faster mounting as well as offering the compatibility to the newest socket LGA 1156. Mugen 2 Rev. B is furthermore compatible to common Intel sockets such as LGA 775, LGA 1366 as well as AMD sockets 754, 939, AM2(+) and AM3.

Features such as the PWM controlled Slip Stream PWM 120 mm fan, Multi Fan Mount Structure and Multiple Airflow Pass-Through Structure remain with the Rev. B, making it one of the most demanded CPU Cooler in the market. Undergoing some improvements, new Flip Mount Super Back-Plate allows the secure mounting of Mugen 2 Rev. B on all supported sockets. With the MSRP of 35,90 EUR (excl. VAT) or US$ 49.80 (excl. TAX), new Rev. B (SCMG-2100) is now available in the market.



Owners of the former Mugen 2 (Model No. SCMG-2000) can upgrade their cooler to Rev. B by purchasing Mugen 2 LGA1156 Conversion Kit. This Conversion Kit comes with the improved Flip Mount Super Back-Plate and the mounting bracket which allows Mugen 2 to be mounted on the newest socket LGA 1156 as well as LGA 775 and LGA 1366. Mugen 2 LGA1156 Conversion Kit (SCCSMG2-1156) is available in the market for 4,15 EUR (excl. VAT) or US$ 7.95 (excl. TAX).

Just purchased the first version from newegg a couple of weeks ago. I love the thing and it is better than the TRUE!!!! Anyways, looks like this mounts a tad bit easier.

I love my Mugen 2, and it looks like with this version you don't have to remove the stock back-plate. Awesome.

Can anyone find a better deal on the Mugen-2 than the one offered by Newegg (35 $ )?

I have one on my bedroom computer.... I am glad they now have a version to fit other sockets. Its massive though.
