Hd4870x2 bad flash

A friend has asked me to help him out ,
He's got a powercolor HD4870x2 , and he flashed the Asus Top bios to this card , he flashed both bioses and he said it all went well , so he rebooted the pc , and now nothing , no display.
So after he's tried loads of times , he's brought the card to me , i downloaded the powercolor hd4870x2 bioses from here , and tried to blind flash the cards , (Which i have done afew times before with old cards )

The problem is that when i plug the card into my pc , it seems to lock the pc up , and it doesn't boot , there's no usb stick activity , so i can't even blind flash it ..
Can anyone help me out , or have any ideas ????

Sounds like your PSU is not strong enough to push the card... how many +12v rails do you have and how many amps per rail?

it's a 'Hiper Type-M MK II HPU-5M730'

Code:
http://www.hipergroup.com/products.php?lv=3&cate=1&type=31&pid=29

you probably flashed the card with the wrong bios.
i have done the same thing but my actual flash locked up on the master GPU and no screen when i booted up.

its easy fixed though

place the bad flashed card in the secondery PCI slot and a working card in the top and reflash it via atiflash in dos.

Right I done what you said , and it worked , i'm now posted on the card now , but i have a new problem , while no drivers are loaded the cards work , but as soon as i install either 9.10 or 9.11 cats ( uninstalled and drivercleanered between) , the pc locks on start up of windows Seven ..
Any ideas ????

I've now found out that if i diable 1 gpu in safe mode and then restart the pc , it loads into windows straight away , but put 2 back on and it locks back up at the point when windows is loading ..

your system might have become corrupt due to the cards bios flash lockup.
reinstall your os is my only advise.
