Trio of Gigabyte H55 Motherboards Surface
Gigabyte is ready with a trio of motherboards based on the value desktop chipset for the LGA-1156 platform, the Intel H55 Express. The three offer essential features of the chipset, including support for Flexible Display Interface, which provides connectivity for Intel processors with embedded graphics controllers. The trio includes two micro-ATX models: GA-H55M-S2H and GA-H55M-UD2H, and the ATX GA-H55-UD3H.
The GA-H55M-S2H is entry-level, 7-phase CPU VRM, two DDR3 DIMM slots wired to it for dual-channel memory, a PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slot, PCI-Express x16 (electrical x4), and two PCI slots. All six SATA 3 Gbps ports are assigned as internal ports, with the rear-panel consisting of an 8-channel audio cluster with optical SPDIF output, eight USB 2.0 ports, a keyboard/mouse combo PS/2 port, gigabit Ethernet, and display connectivity including DVI, D-Sub, and HDMI. Solid-state capacitors are limited to the vital VRM areas, with the rest of the board making use of standard electrolytic capacitors. The GA-H55M-UD2H slightly ups the deal with four DDR3 DIMM slots, one of the six SATA ports being assigned as an eSATA port, FireWire, and Ultra Durable 3 Classic construction (which brings in all solid-state capacitors and 2 oz copper PCB), to the list. Its rear panel consists of 8-channel audio with optical SPDIF, FireWire, eSATA, a number of USB 2.0 ports, DVI, D-Sub, and HDMI for display connectivity. Lastly, there's the GA-H55-UD3H. It retains the same CPU VRM design as the H55M models, while offering nearly the same feature-set as the GA-H55M-S2H, except for seven expansion slots including one each of PCI-Express 2.0 x16, PCI-Express x16 (x4), PCI-E x1, and four PCI slots in the middle. All six SATA ports are internal, with the rear-panel identical to that of the GA-H55M-S2H. Ultra Durable 3 Classic construction provides it with an all-solid capacitor design and 2 oz copper PCB. The three are expected to be released in Q1 2010, along with a wave of motherboards based on the Intel H55 Express chipset. Last edited by btarunr; Dec 15, 2009 at 05:58 PM. |

Except it's not from OCWorkbench, but rather from Gigabyte's own Facebook group http://www.facebook.com/pages/GIGABY...n/209090107119

Why are the PCIe slots on the GA-H55-UD3H so far apart from each other? You'll need a bigass CFX/SLI bridge to couple two cards... that is if that board supports any of those technologies anyway.

I believe the main difference is support for CPU's with Flexible Display Interface (Havendale Clarkdale).

Like Jizzler siad, H55 supports Intel CPUs that will have a GPU built in them.
I think Intel designed P55 for the mainstream/OCing crowd and the H55 for the lower end folks, which is why they have 2 products. (even though they are essentially the same thing) So think of H55 as the Intel 'G55'. Nobody gets a Gx5 board for overclocking, etc. |

They'll probably be the newest intel onboard.

Not exactly onboard, but the Graphics is packed within the CPU.

It seems to be called Intel HD Graphics. With clocks from 166Mhz to 500Mhz using some kind of turbo feature like the CPUs. Still, 500Mhz doesnt tell us much about performance.

make an compare between P31 and G31 you find P series have better overclocking also better cooling, many bios options and features , more ports (USB,SATA) , also P series always enhancement by brands many times and let we take gigabyte as example we can see many P31 (p31 S1 , P31 S2 , P31 S3 , P31 DS ....) and you that's mean many features add like more ram slot's ,more pci and pci-e slot's +1
