Hello everyone. i have ran into a bad problem, i changed settings on my laptop power settings that when i close my lid it does not sleep. and when i tried it it didnt sleep rather turn the screen off and made it black n white as when you log off, the screen went from color to black n white and now it wont go back to color.
I shut down my computer and tried again and still its Monochrome wont get color.

those are color.

sounds like the cable connecting your screen to your monitor may be loose or damaged.

it is not a windows problem. its a setting to do with the video card.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the video card drivers.

ah i see where you're going now, you think it might be that 'shut down menu' grey filter getting stuck.

Never heard of that happening before.

That's quite simple to verify, enter the BIOS, is that black and white as well or does it show color? If the BIOS has color it's a software issue.
