Help - No image at POST (2 PC's)

First, sorry for the vague topic description, but, I have no idea what to call this issue.

To save from a long story; my two rigs in SysSpecs have been in their respective boxes for almost 4 months....I unboxed them the other day and had a really strange issue, both wouldn't display video.

I have no idea why this has happened or how to fix the problem.....I've tried many things on both rigs without any luck:

Different cards ranging from a 6600GT to my 9800GX2 and nothing works.
Different RAM (8 sticks, 4 brands)
Checking all cables are seated correctly.
New CMOS battery.
Different monitors.

The rig's both "start" but I have no sure way of knowing if they get to the desktop and to be clear, when I boxed them up both worked flawlessly.

Lucky I still have my laptop and HTPC but there is no substitute for my own rig.

Any help would be useful, help a guy out and get me crunching for TPU again!

Try hooking up to onboard video? Well, I would try one part by one, including the PSU to see which one is faulty.

How about "Computer doesn't show any image"? Took me about 10 seconds to think that up, 9 of those seconds were needed to read your post. The title you're using now is exactly the example used in the guidelines of what title NOT to use. Please read the guidelines.

for christmas, i give you a thread title.

I'd be doing a CMOS clear, and a minimal boot (one stick of good ram, lowest power video card you have) and testing with the PSU from the HTPC (since its known to work)

Since they've been in storage, you have no idea whats happened - they could have been tossed around, liquid spilled on them, anything.

(then ofc, theres the obvious stuff - like forgetting the aux CPU power connector, stuff like that)

Thanks for changing the thread title, I was pretty wrecked when I wrote this and couldn't think too much.

To the suggestions....

No onboard video.
They were in storage in my house, never moved them in the whole 4 months.
No strikes or power outages, they worked when they got put away.
All cables plugged in and both PSU's work as I tried them on the HTPC.
I also did the "minimal boot" idea without any luck.

Any other ideas??? Its pretty depressing having no PC to game with.

So which rig is it that is not booting the ASUS M3A79 ? Try this take the mobo out and hot plug it to your HTPC and see if it boots that way,Sound`s like a build up of dust from sitting in a box or it has a short somewhere. Also clear the cmos switch for like 5 min`s then place it back on then try it`

LOL At your avatar acid,A guy i used to work with (fellow chef ) would gas himself after our shift....

No, not knocked over, moved or even looked at!

To my knowledge both rigs have fully working HDD's, along with all other parts...they both just wont display video.

I rebuilt her rig (AMD setup) and it appears that #1 & #3 memory slots are dead....I have to boot using slots 2 & 4.

Any ideas how this could happen when its been stored for so long and not even the box it was in was touched?
