headphone jack converter

im buying this tv in a few days, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16889253136 it has no headphone jack on it and i hear that the speakers on it arent very good. is there some converter so i can get my speakers working on it?

so while the analogue is... useless, it has an optical SPDIF output for connecting to home cinema speakers.

assuming it has RCA outputs. it might even have 3.5mm stereo outputs, it says "variable" in the specs.

so the red and white go into the back of the tv, and the 3.5mm jack goes into my speakers? that would work?

look at the pick on the back of the tv, has the audio out over those cables, just i think he needs one with a female connector rather than male for the connection to the speakers

deleted the post cause it had the wrong type of adaptor. maybe one of the following, but cant see the female connection well enough

yea, i am assuming the cable coming out from the speaker is connected to the speaker so you need a female 3.5mm to male rca.

You read my mind. I literally had that url copied and was getting ready to paste it. But yeah, that's definitely the connector needed. I have a similar setup with some headphones on my television.
