PSU Modding Supplies and Questions

Do you know of any good sources for PSU modding parts? To start I'm mostly interested in molex pins and the nylon connectors/shells (4-pin peripheral, 6/8-pin PCI Express, 4/8-pin ATX/EPS +12, 20+4-pin ATX main power, etc.). I'm looking for functional, utilitarian stuff; couldn't care less about making a PSU or its cabling pretty.

Can butt splices be used on PSU cabling, given proper gauge selection and usage?

I've found a couple small PSU modding forums online, but nothing significant. Are there any large communities or resources online for this?

Don't know if you already have tools?

"CaseArts PSU Modding Tool Kit, 4 Molex Extractors, Universal, Floppy & Fan, Auxillary, ATX , Retail Box":

http://www.directron.com/caspsumtk.html?gsear=1

Here's another one:

"Sunbeam PSU Modding Tool Kit"

http://www.xoxide.com/sunbeam-psu-tool-kit.html

Xoxide has some parts:

As for butt splices, any 18 gage quality connector will do the trick. I'd advise good soldering over clamp style, just for reliability. Heat shrink wrap advised, as you probably already know.
