Dual boot on Vista will be complicated

Microsoft's new Windows Vista will bring several "improvements", among those there will be a hardware-based encryption, called BitLocker Drive Encryption.

Ideally, this should make your data safer than ever before, but it does have a drawback: this encryption technology also has the effect of frustrating the exchange of data needed in a dual boot system. "You could look at BitLocker as anti-Linux because it frustrates dual boot"

My advise would be for people to NOT purchase Vista or Windows. Problem solved.

I would just make a hard drive into 2 different partitions and select which one you want to boot from in bios

You can't select partitions in the bios. Only physical drives. You would need to have two separate hard drives, one for windows, and one for whatever else. Not only that but each time you wanted to change between them you would have to go into your bios

It happens It's best just to read over your post right after you submit it and make any changes you missed as you were writing it. That's what I do at least.
