AMD/ATI will fit your price the best... go for Phenom II & Radeon 5770/5890...

you'll have to get a cheaper case, because you should also get a good power supply and motherboard. Newegg is the place to be.

Antec 300 $60

Asus M4A77 Mobo $79

Corsair 550W $80

G Skill 4GB Ram $105

Phenom II 940 $150

Caviar Blue 300GB Hdd $48

Radeon 4850 $124

=$648+ shipping (est $25 to NY)

minus video card is 525 plus shipping (550)
you can get a 4850 for 125, but im not seeing a 5850 for less than 300 -
so you'll be closer to 900 at the end than 700

Do you think I could maybe stretch for a 5850 system?

well then that means the above is pretty damn close to what you need

the above is roughly $745 without shipping get a antec PSU and look at some combo deals and mail in rebates and your good to go

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341022

OCZ psu 550 watt mail in rebate = $44 for it half the price of the corsair means $710 roughly

and it seems the 720 has dropped to $109 so thats $11 less so $699 haha hells yea im on a roll woot

Coolermaster Hyper 212+ $29.99 brings us in at $694

His 5770 is $162 so $8 less again so $686 im pretty sure you can get it all to fit good luck Charper

Ok. Good idea. What do you think about the 4850 downgrade?

EDIT: The Illusion has 15$ shipping which is only 10$ cheaper than the scout....

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-066-_-Product that case

id keep the current GPU as it will overclock to 4890 speeds meaning DX11 + low power requirments

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-022-_-Product

that PSU has a huge rebate meaning more savings

The rebates mean nothing to me. I dont usually bother with them.. And the thermaltake is a better psu.

See lemme explain better. No matter what the rebate is, the problem is I wont have the money to buy the thing. So when I spend that type of money if I have a better option I want to take that.

I can get that if I downgrade to 4850 temporarily.

EDIT: In my last posting of my cart I didnt include a heatsink so I will have to downgrade to 4850 to get that AMD proc with the stock heatsink.
