Actually.. it looks more like Ozone Smog gaming mouse. Even has same 5040 DPi max. Plus it looks like more nicely designed, but same mouse.. (grip on right side is same as for Smog).
Tough at least it has much better surface, and less colorful. And software looks better. But it will be same as Smog.. quite ok mouse, but Xai is better. Btw. instead of Xai.. G9x is better. Only downside so far is that G9x mouse wheel is "non-clickable" (it needs a lot force to click it = unusable). Xai isnt perfect too.. mousewheel tends to lag and scroll too much or not at all.. There is no perfect mouse.. not yet. |

How does it fares against the Cooler Master Scout mouse?

I can bet that it will be better.
Btw. if you take in consideration something from Coolermaster as gaming HW.. you shouldnt play at all. Those companies dont understand gamers needs and it ends in 99% in unusable or near unusable product. There is very few companies that actually makes something usable. Mionix is one of them, otherwise Steelseries, Logitech, ROCCAT, Razer. Not all of their products are best choice.. but usually very good. Yea and MS is sometimes able to create something interesting. Low cost is A4Tech X-7xx serie is pretty good too (but it wont last too much). I have currently G9x, MX500, Xai, DeathAdder v1, Kone. All are pretty good, tough none of them is perfect.. Currently best is Xai + G9x. Yea and all high-DPi/CPi mices need high-quality mouse pads. Keep that always in mind. |

It can be good, cause smaller and less known brands usually tend to produce quite good or even exceptional products when they start (ROCCAT Kone for example). Wish I could say same about others who produce gaming HW now.. (Razer.. ).

Looks like a bit of the coolermaster or steel series mouse body. Great review Fred, DUGG!
