I tried looking up how to move google chrome's application and its cache to a specific directory, but have had no luck. does anyone know how to do so? I am trying to move all of it into a ramdisk.

Yep, found out how to move the cache part of Chrome. See this thread:

http://www.google.co.uk/support/foru...1aacdc6d&hl=en

Instructions:
1./ Right click on your chrome shortcut
2./ Properties
3./ Edit Target, as follows: "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disk-cache-dir=z:\

Change the last part, z:\, to your ramdrive if not on Z:

One question.

What if you launch Chrome through another program? Say, you click a link in an email in the mail program? It will use the default cache then.

One of the biggest reasons I don't use Chrome... no option to change temp. cache. You have to use some silly command line switch that doesn't work.
