Q9550 should be good for 4GHz at around 1.25v......decent chip.

I'd be surprised if it hasn't seen any overclocking, but I can't be 100% positive (which would be a good thing if it wasn't right?)

Lapping would be free, but would probably delay shipping because I'd need to find time (a few hours worth the next day after purchase) to do it.

Bump.

Price reduced $10 down to $300 for the combo. If anyone wants just one part (cpu or mobo), PM me. The combo is implying $250 for the cpu, and $50 for the mobo. I'm willing to take that down, just hit me up.

Also, if anyone is interested enough, I can post screenshots of the cpu and mobo in action. It will take a while. I can also attempt an overclock (would be my first time OCing an Intel).

Will get back tomorrow with results if I attempt it.

EDIT2: So, I just had a good read over the rules again (since they were consolidated) and I feel the need to redo a couple pictures, and change some stuff. OK, Overclocking results:

CPUz results

I'm not gonna lie, that motherboard is a PoS when it comes to overclocking. As a noob to Intel overclocking, I had to search around till I found setfsb. There were no voltage settings in bios, so that 3.57Ghz OC was at stock voltage

Although, the motherboard did push my DDR2-800 ram to 1009MHz.
Those temps in Core Temp are after about 5 minutes load on stock cooler with very minimal application of AS5.

EDIT: Reduced price of q9550. This puts the cpu at $220 without combo.
EDIT2: It took me a very long time to figure out the PLL. Googling didn't help very much.
