Rosewill R230-P
Anyone tried this case? I just grabbed a couple (Shell Shocker) to try out for low-end builds. Just curious as to what I should expect (so far not expecting much).

I bought one for my wifes rig a few months ago. its a decent case only problem is the door is kinda filmsy and the front usb slot feels like it will break if your not gentle with it. besides that its good for a workstation non overclocked rig. I have 2 silent 120mm in it one in fron and one in back and keeps the system at decent temps. the screw holes on the pci slots strip out fast but its got a mounting plate that I think will make it so you dont need screws, never really figured it out.

Thanks ShRoOm, may have to see if there's anything I can do to make it a little nicer. Any problems with flimsy metal vibrating and making noise?

Damn ,they're basically giving this away for the cost of shipping. If I were a builder I'd jump on these.

The item price is only a few bucks under what it was, but with free shipping it's dang cheap for something with decent reviews. Apparently it's been cheaper before, but this isn't bad (depending on how it turns out).

Like Don said, for the price you cant beat it. hell of a deal. I was mainly just trying to give you the cons of it so you would have a heads up. I just got my Rosewill challenger about 20 minutes ago, they seem to be made of the same metal.

Challenger = Casecom 6788 right? I'd be interested in hearing how much better you think the Challenger is for the price over the R230-P.
Thanks again. |
