I think I shorted out my HD4890

ok so im checking out the bfbc2 clubhouse page and wham! my pc shuts off! i look and a screw jiggled loose!! landed on the fron side of my HD4890 from sapphire near where the crossfire connectors are located. through the corner of my eye i had seen a spark but prayed to god it wasnt true. it was is there any way to fix this issue?? god i hope so nothing looks burnt out nothing anywhere has spark marks or anything but windows doesnt recognize the card and with the dvi jack in and crossfire connected I get no signal. with just the sapphire card in I get no post. with my asus card in I get full 100% post windows sees nothing. the cards power leds come on when I start the pc then flash off like normal. no mater what pci-e plugs I use this happens. WTF god hates me hopefully this is fixable somehow.

otherwise anyone got a refrence hd4890 they wat to sell me??

Had a little mossfet sink falling off one of mine, went to grab it and pull it on off before it fell and I saw sparks, it got against something and killed it.

is she still under warranty if there is no physical damage then you could probably RMA it.

looks like a mod did. yea no physical damage whatsoever it must be something stupid like a resistor frying or something dumb like that. my theory is whatever the screw it it grounded off the screw for the backplate of the card and shorted the circuit therefore killing a resistor maybe 2. if sapphier wont rma it then I suppose ill either run 1 4890, upgrade to a couple 5770's or whip out the mul;timeter and soldering iron and find the problem, I got a dead 4850 kicking around so
I got plenty of extra resistors

edit even if sapphire does rma it, this card is EOL and I more than likely will not get a 4890 in return sapphire usually goes for the next gen series of the same price point or a bit lower so most likey IF they rma it I'll get a 5770 in return but im an idiot and threm my original sales receipt in the trash 3 weeks ago. so if they ask me for that im screwed it blows these cards are only 3 weeks old and I found them quite by accident cheap
