Your thoughts on new build.

Talked the boss ( wife ) into a new rig. This will be my first AMD machine. I will be using this for gaming and folding, with a mild overclock.
Please give me your feed back.

Looks good, but personally I'd spend a little extra and get a single 5870 vs 2x 5770's. Also you didn't specify, but use the 64 bit version of Win 7.

ATI cards unfortunately are very poor Folding performers compared to Nvidia, but there is an update that will improve this although its not clear how long away that is.

If Folding is not your top priority then I would stick to the 5series.

So maybe use the same build with a couple gtx 275's?

I think now is a bad time to buy GTX cards since GTX4xx is right around the corner. Chances are if you wait they will come down in price by a good amount. 275s are getting old, and if you game a bunch you may want to get DX11 cards for future proofing.

Im pretty sure I will be unloading my 275s for an upgrade shortly.

5850 instead of 5770 for the peace of mind that you will not run to crossfire problems. You wouldn't be getting any points in folding though. Also, get an aftermarket cooler, it helps your temps by a significant amount. You might want to consider Sata 6Gbps and USB3, but by the time there is widespread use of both, its time to upgrade your mobo and proc anyway, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.
