Kingston Creates 2400 MHz DDR3 Memory Kit, Certified by Intel

Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced it has developed the fastest Intel-certified memory in the world. Running at 2400MHz, Kingston’s HyperX dual-channel DDR3 memory kit (Kingston part#: KHX2400C9D3T1K2/4GX) gained Intel XMP certification on the Core i7 platform. Intel's certification is posted here.

The 2400MHz kit runs at 9-11-9-27-2 timings at 1.65 volts and was developed for enthusiasts, gamers, and benchmarkers looking to scale new memory heights. I wish this speed war would end and we could get more focus on lowering timings. There was a review at anandtech back when we first got 2000mhz 7-8-7-20 memory (it all got taken off the market for being defective) that tested a lot of different speed and latency combos, and it showed tight timings winning out over speed. The other bonus is that tight timings is easier on the mobo than high speeds, so 1866 mhz @ 6-6-6-18 is a lot more likely to work as 12 Gbs than these 2.4 Ghz kits.

Look at how the tight 1600 kit matches the 2133 kit...
