p.c.games with bugs cant play them.

I,ve
been playing p.c. games now from the past 10 years and am sick 2 death with bugs in p.c. games making then totally unplayable.
For examply in call of duty the first game the troop a.i. in that game there just stand there,
and dont do nowt one of the levels theres a car chase where your in the car and the dam car gets stock on a tank and freezes still and stops me from progressing 2 the,
Next level,
Assassins creed was just playing that 2 day got 2 the first city where i meat some guy i need 2 chat with and he just stands there doing nowt couldnt chat with him.
There agin stoping me from progressing through 2 the city gates
Enter the matrix more p.c. games with bugs the car you drive in that game has square wheels
My point 2 this rant is the more p.c. games i play just seem 2 be full of DUGS and crap,
programing and rushed out before completed dont game manufacters test the games before.
The relsase date?
And why should i surf the dam internet looking for game patches 2 fix there bugs in the games they make

Whats your views on p.c games with bugs in them makeing them unplayable ???

Always wait a few months after the game have been released before buying them, the closer to launch, the more problems there are.

What bugs me even more is the Xbox ports that have even more Bugs on the Xbox that Never get patched...Call of duty series is bad for that CoD WaW made progress on that(with pc) but MW2 is buggiest game of all time Nothing is worse then getting shot by someone off the map and your bullets do nothing to them..

Mass effect..where to begin
Save games b4 and after Elevators
Mass Effect2 don't save or read tablets near tables or rocks or crates or you may end up on top of them without being able to get off of them resulting in a lost point in the Game.

I'm sorry to bring this up but I refuse to play P2P on PC so I only have MW2 for Xbox..
If they don't fix the migrating host issue in the next patch I'm done with Infinity Ward...Seriously
I got to play 3 matches today b4 getting kicked but I went the previous 3 days unable to play..
Even made a call to MS support over this and it was a ALREADY KNOWN ISSUE with the software..

I was told basically not enough people are complaining about it But it is well known (basically Fuhque)

Crysis WARS is Absolute Garbage I gave up on that after installing the patch(s) which resulted in..NOTHING

I simply refuse to buy games when they first hit now..I wait to hear about what/how bad the bugs are

my view is, it's damn hard - nigh impossible to make a game that is GOOD, utilizes new and interesting technology, and at the same time works perfectly for everyone.

most games work most of the time on most people's computers.

yes i pay $50 for each of these games, and yes i've been upset when they don't work properly. but the fact is with the wide array of hardware, software, and configurations different computers can have, i find it perfectly understandable that a dev team of a large size still can't possibly test them all before release.

if they put in the level of QA and recoding you people want, the games would never get out the door! the ones that did would be more than twice as much in cost, as it would take them longer to find the issues that 10-20% of people have, than it did to make an entire game that works for 80% of the gaming population.

now of course that doesn't excuse the games you listed, or many other newer ones as well. but the majority of pc games are of a much higher quality than you proclaim, and the issues that arise are not as widespread as you maybe believe.

that would help.

but what i am saying is - that is the name of the game. It simply doesn't bother me as much.

I would rather have a wide array of configuration options available, than have games guaranteed to run on my system. if you want a guarantee for perfect use, try a console.

I have never had a game that was ruined for me by bugs. it was either a crappy game all around, or a good one where i could stand the bugs.

yes standards would be great - but standards also limit innovation. and when the standards change every year, what good is it really? you have people trying to play current games on 5 year old hardware on a ten year old operating system, whining that it doesn't work. standards won't do anything about that.

the nature of pcs/pc gaming makes it excessively hard to make something work for everyone. i know and understand this, as well as accept it. that's what i'm saying.

Just my view, coming from a PC gamer of almost 30 years . . .

The "bugs" we deal with nowadays are nothing, IMHO, to what they used to be - I feel our current problems give the game "character."

20 years ago, it wasn't uncommon for game to completely corrupt your OS installation, bork your HDD, or cause other serious problems.

Besides, when one considers how vastly different PC platforms are from each other, running into occasional problems is unavoidable. Look at it this way, at least with PC games, these bugs and glitches can be patched out . . . if console games are released with a few bugs and glitches (and they are more often than most gamers realize), there's nothing the devs can do about it.

I remember having to change the COM and BATCH files for every game with DOS LOL

By standards I simply mean It must play correctly for what it is designed for...Extra this or that is always nice..But when games glitch without the option of turning of those features it Sucks..

as for bugs
Doesn't happen all that often but it does seem to happen a lot on Ports that take 6 months(or better) to be released for PC..

Sadly I'm trying the console thing But I seem to encounter bugs just as often if not more..
as i said b4 I'm about to give up on MW2 on XBOX...not that i want to but it's frustrating to know that your Xbox,Internet connection are good yet you have sit back and watch the thing look for a game to join for hours only to be kicked after a match or 2....I also believe it has something to do with Time Warner throttling

At least there ARE workarounds with PC games, not only that, but for alot of titles, we can modify them to our own personal tastes, improve the graphics and even add things that were not even in the vanilla product. This for me is a massive plus for PC gaming

There are soo many more variables to PC gaming, operating systems, drivers, direct-x, ogl, sound, overclocking, etc on just the PC-end alone that can cause crap, unstable and intolerable gaming. Then you have the game dev side, being pushed to push out a product, polished or not, that only amplifies the issue. Even so, I must say overall my gaming on PC for the last decade has been pretty good. Seeing as I haven't owned a console since my PS2, and I've seen what the 360 and PS3 have to offer, I also prefer the overall control of a PC. Sure it needs upgrades to keep up, but I find more entertaining overall and I'm pretty damn happy when a rig I built on a budget is able to push new titles at 1920x1080 with AA/AF and smooth frames. Having a stable PC, up-to-date helps A TON. Most of my friends with pc gaming issues don't update drivers, clean up their HDD's, or even run a malware scan...most of their issues are probably caused more by porn sites than the game itself lol.

You have to remember that a rock solid pc is the basis of stable gameplay. Yes, there are bugs in every games out there. But having an unstable machine will make the gaming experience twice as bad.
