System Specs

1GB for extreme graphics, the other GB for music to listen to while you're gaming! At least, I think that's how it works...

I tested my old Visiontek 2400HD PCI on windows 7, slow as hell, but it works. I think the 2400hd is dying anyway, but it worked. But to answer your question directly, yes a GT220 works with windows 7 just fine, even with games.

it sure is handy to have 2Gb VRAM when opening many˛ hi-res images in Photoshop CS4.
a 512Mb card only manage to open <50 hi-res images. OpenGL acceleration = ON

but for gaming? nope

With a little more RAM, we could install Windows XP on it and run it from GPU directly.

Or you could sell it to idiots and use the extra money you made to snort a line of coke from a whores ass.

The only possible use would be as a cheap CAD card. Otherwise, entirely useless.

lol i doubt it. what are you going to work on that needs 2 gigs of ram on a card that would take 4 days to chew through?

Nah, this card could handle CAD easily. And render size determines the memory amount. The 16 shader cards accelerate CAD faster than a cpu, let alone a 64 shader card.

But even as a poor man's CAD card, it's still a very niche market, and almost a waste of a SKU.
