P55A UD3 Problem Booting DVD Drive

I just picked up a P55A UD3 and the sata drives from the P55 are in Raid mode which is what the DVD drive is hooked up to atm. It doesn't seem to want to boot up my Windows install disk. I heard a few people reporting a similar issue but have yet to find a workaround. I'm not sure if being in raid mode has anything to do with it.

I could probably just install windows off of a USB flash drive but I only have on 8GB drive and I need to run SE on my Vertex off of an x86 windows environment. An x86 install disk is the easiest way that I know of.

You went to bios and selected the dvd drive as first boot up ?) cd-rom doesn't cut it, has to be that exact drive from the list.

I ended up updating the bios, that did the trick.

That's a good idea too, I'm using F5 and nothing to complain about.
