Opinion needed on a desktop build

Hey guys I'm planning to build a desktop and I want it based on:

ATI Radeon HD 5850 1024MB GDDR5
and
PHENOM 2 X4 955 AM3 3.2GHZ

what do you guys reckon is the best motherboard for those components? with SLI system for future upgrades, would be good if the motherboard was within $200-$300.

Back on topic, you can get a good 890GX motherboard for much less for example:

Get good ram too, usually 2x2GB sticks. Can't recommend you any good ones.

Throw in a WD Caviar black or a SSD plus a cheaper harddisk if you need eg WD caviar green.

Don't skimp on PSU (I think you already know this), 500-600w Corsair would be nice.

Aftermarket cooler is almost a must even if you are not overclocking, Coolermaster Hyper 212 comes to mind.

Put all this into a nice big case and you are good to go.
