seems xfx doesn't do any card if you ask me.. they've been out of stock and i've been looking to get a couple more 5870's from them.. but they got none!!!

I thought those cards were priced at 500 bucks, but those are good prices for super high end cards. But i figure if you spend more then 200 bucks on a card, it better be able to play every game at max at 60 or more frames per second.

I think that a lot of people will be entering every day from now on newegg to see if they come on stock and after a week they will get bored and buy a 5870. Just my opinion though

Right now since Newegg doesn't have a single card in its inventory, it will show off reference prices ($349/$499), and images provided by the companies. But once they're actually available, it will jack up prices by 5-10% for profit.

Well it all about what you need, my 5770 when oced seems to handle just about everything at realistic resolutions and at 150.00 is more than reasonable. For now I'm done with higher end cards. My next purchase will be in the 200.00 to 250.00 but only on a need basis. Atleast that how I feel now and with these new geforce cards, especally the 470, you will see 5850 hit the 250.00 mark for sure and 5830 hit sub 200.00 and that great for you and me. A price war is coming in the 200.00 to 300.00 card range.

How does a pair of 5830's compare to a gtx480? It would be the same price a pair of 5850's would be ~$100 same with the 5970
