Vantec SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 adapter
Need help with a problem. I'm trying to recover files off an old 40GB IDE hd with the Vantec SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 adapter. The IDE drive powered up fine and Vista loaded the drivers and said it was ready but the drive never showed up. Tried connecting to different USB ports, reconnected the drive, and even tried rebooting. Nothing seems to work. Disk managment says drive needs to be initialized but when I try, it says the dive isn't ready.
Any help is greatly appreciated. |
