overclocking AMD 64 3000+ venice(e6 revision,soc:939)
hi guys!
MY PC CONFIG: AMD ATHLON 64 3000+(VENICE-E6 REVISION,SOC:939) @1.8GHZ ASUS A8N-E(N-FORCE4 ULTRA CHIPSET) TRANSCEND 2*256MB DDR-400 RAM.... NO COMPONENTS OVERCLOCKED YET...... i wanna overclock my amd athlon 64 3000+venice core,soc:939,e6-revision processor! i want to know which is the best heatsink to go for(can the coolermaster hyper 48 or hyper 6 do it???).also i need expert helplines as to which software to use etc..etc... how much can my processor give out??? i've heard it has reached 2.8ghz by many people...(maybe i'm wrong..it must be the e3 revision...) how to go about it.....what should be the ideal case vantilation for maximum overclocking of components??? please help me out.... |

To O.C your processor just to go your BIOS(setup at startup) and go to the voltage/speed controlls and crank it up. I use air cooling and iam O.C'd but you should get watercooling or a big heatsink_fans

the zalmann 9500led or the sonic tower would be a good solution
how far you can oc depends on you cpu so it should be stable on 2,4gig wiht stock vcore |
