sucessfully tested on a 5970 with a 8800GT, but did encounter problem's with having 2 displays connect to my 5970, it would change the res of my main monitor to 1680x1050 when is was set to 1920x1080.

maybe because my 2nd monitor can only do 1680x1050

I would think so since there seems to be a large community of people wanting the physx ability with their ATI graphics card. I've been reading/following PhysXinfo since I picked up the 9800GT for physx. Alot of info can be found there and check out the games list.

I forgot some screenshots I sniped at home this weekend just to show everyone how well brandonwh64 instructions work. At first I wasn't that impressed because Dark Void kept crashing but I found the problem..the 9800's fan was catching on the back of my tv tuner card making the 9800GT run at 102 Celcius(can we say hot!!)

yeah that's not healthy for your card

i just ordered a Sapphire Radeon HD5770 VaptorX card today and i am thinking about saving my Albatron GeForce 8800GT-512X for PhysX i had even read today that Mafia 2 should have PhysX and i hope that game will be awesome ^^

i have a question : when we set up a physx card with ati will this improve general performance like 3dmark and all games ? or the job of the second card will just be concentrated on physx ?

If you're buying a new graphics card, get a 9800GT Green Edition. You won't miss the extra power and it won't consume more than ~75W.

OK ive done testing with the new 10.4 preview drivers from ATI and they still work with the physx patch as long as you continue to use the nvidia 196.21 driver for you physx card.

That price is to low.. It should be worth at least $50.

Do him a favor and give him $40, it'll still be a steal for you :P

96 shaders is perfectly fine for PhysX, AFAIK.

those are actually some of the best physx cards, you want the highest amount of rop's and the 320bit mem makes them awesome too. Get that card for sure.
