hdtv as monitor

i was wondering if this would be a good tv for gaming on with my pc

in general, they work just fine.

some cheap HDTV's look like arse however, so try and get a good one.


that one appears decent (large viewing angle indicates a decent panel type), however like my screen its got a low resolution. its upto you if thats a problem or not.

8ms response time might be a little slow for gaming. Ghosting isn't fun when you're trying to snipe someone.

well its something i got to save up for. im going to be working over spring break and try to make 300$ from a friends dad and maybe my mom will pitch in for me haha

8ms isnt a problem on HDTV's, you cant get any lower than 5ms without going to a TN panel anyway.

its not like the old days where PC LCD Makers would label a screen 8ms G2G and they had 16ms in other colors, they're far closer these days.
