ASUS Unleashes ROG MATRIX 5870 Overclocked Graphics Card

The ROG MATRIX 5870 isn't just the new kid on the block, it's the freshly appointed king, bestowed with everything serious gamers could possibly wish for. Based on the ATI Radeon 5870, MATRIX 5870 exceeds the standard design in every way, delivering both raw horsepower for fast, precision gaming, and refined controls that lead the way in overclocking and tuning.

Sapphire makes a Toxic 2gb card that doesn't have the eyefinity connections, there's a new review on it somewhere... and it was a decent review. I'm wating on a review for this card as I want to see how the voltage tweak software does with it, overclocking, temps, etc.

The only reason I'm waiting on the Matrix is for the voltage control. Sine the TOXIC is non-refference there is probablly no voltage control. If they do manage to get the Toxic working with Afterburner, then I'll take whatever is cheaper.

My thoughts exactly. I like the factory OC on the Toxic, curious what voltage they're using. Prolly locked in though like other non-ref Sapphires.

In my case I could use it for GTA. I notice a lot of load pop in when I'm flying over the city (bypassed the mem use limits for max view distance).

hahha i was just about to use a GTA refrence but didnt know if anyone saw that too

thats funny u cans see ppl walking across the water ect. but as far as speed goes itll help the overclock be more stable but u wont double the frames. Just load more at one time

I have the GTX285 Matrix, is loud but overall is better than stock version also for better cooling.

You can gain just 6 to 7 FPS in some games when overclock with Itracker2.
