Back-up, store and share files across a home or office network
Securely managing files and confidential data, the 2-Bay PX-NAS2 gives users full peace of mind, whilst delivering flexibility and convenience by making their information accessible across a home or small office network. No more arguments over which movie is played or where – now the whole family can stream and enjoy access to files on their own computers throughout the home.

Plug and play with PX-NAS2 Utility for fast and easy connectivity
The bundled PX-NAS2 Utility automatically detects any PX-NAS2 devices connected to the home network with minimal configuration – allowing fast and easy connection to begin file sharing and back-up in minutes - even for the novice home computer user.

Cross-platform compatibility for a wide choice of usage options:
The PX-NAS2 is compatible with both PC and Mac – making it a highly versatile cross-platform option, and the ideal solution for homes and offices where both system types are present. Users can even upload photos and videos to the most popular websites, such as Flickr or YouTube.

Furthermore, the device is DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) 1.5 compliant – ensuring optimum connectivity to other home devices such as media players, XBox or PlayStation3 – so whilst Dad is editing a work file, Mum could be enjoying a movie on the living room media player whilst their Son is testing the latest game demo on his games console upstairs – all streamed simultaneously from the PX-NAS2.

Backing-up data is effortless with one-touch support and Memeo:
Memeo is a powerful back-up software tool, and comes bundled with the PX-NAS. It allows users to back-up, synchronise and share data across multiple destinations simultaneously and automatically – ensuring that personal digital life is protected yet easily accessible.

The PX-NAS2 features a one-touch interface, allowing users to connect external devices such as cameras and USB drives and back-up the data simply by pressing the ‘Copy/Sync’ button on the device front panel. Never before has it been easier to ensure personal files are safely stored with such minimal effort.

Peace of mind with data security and protection
The PX-NAS2 integrates an auto-resume function, ensuring that in the event of a power outage the system will automatically restart and resume any interrupted operations. Only authorised users are able to connect to the PX-NAS2, ensuring access control and full privacy for any personal files saved on the device, whilst the built-in volume encryption feature protects sensitive data from unwanted access during network transfers.

Pricing, availability and warranty information

The PX-NAS2 will be available from May 2010 in three versions:
  • PX-NAS2-BL1 – 2-Bay NAS without Hard Disk €179
