Another early Beta, probably an early Catalyst 10.5/10.6 build.

Leave some feedback.

All Windows version are included in the archive (XP, Vista, Win7, x86/x64).

Also includes AMD chipset drivers.

Why cross out the Catalyst version in the screen shot?

I hate to sound like a broken record, but unless it comes from an official source, I'll pass.

The Catalyst version is grayed out because beta drivers don't have a Catalyst version number and the previous version number will carry forward.

because all AMD/ATI betas dont include version numbers, and it just shows the last one you had installed.

D3D/OGL versions are what matter.

Ok, I've tried these and idle temps are a tad bit up now because the GPU is at 400MHz and ram is at 1200Mhz. I can load into a BC2 server using DX11 in 7 seconds now.

Edit:
Reverted back to 10.3b. 2d clock rate is borked IMO. Although I was finally 1st loading a map in BC2 I didn't like the idea of my ram at 1200MHz at idle. I honestly don't believe this came from ATI. If so, I would rather wait for a better solution that will let me keep my 157MHz/300MHz 2D clock rate and full 3D clock rate when I start a game.

Hopefully this will allow others to avoid the hassle. I also deleted a few files from user/yourname/appData/local/ATI/ACE/
-manifest.xml
-manifest.Bin
-Profile.xml
etc
before reinstalling the new previous drivers. Also, the Welcome screen has no information and is completely white when using that new driver.

the 400/1200 is the fix for problems with multi monitor users, flickering and grey lines n such.

sounds like these betas default to it, rather than switch to it only when needed.

Just a curiosity.
I'm red from a month now (after more than 10 years of green) and I saw here (and on other forums too) guys who are very reluctant to try a new beta. They wait indefinite for monthly official driver. Why?
It takes 5 minutes to properly uninstall old driver (with all that jazz, uninstall-reboot-safe mode-driver sweeper-reboot) and 2-3 minutes to install new driver. Then you can test it, if you like it you keep it if not you revert to your stable driver. Remember that your system is unique maybe if someone says that is not good for him for you is good. It cost you nothing to try.
From my nVidia's days I've tried a lot of beta drivers. Some good some not so good. Some better than official WHQL some not. All that matter is to find a driver good for you. Beta, leaked, WHQL for me it doesn't matter.

Anyway thanks rflair for all those leaked drivers. I'm stalking you here and on guru3D.

It's very unprofessional to host your own files on a free service. That is all. Indie developer, fine. Multi-million corporation...uh-uh.

There have been a few drivers in the past that hosted virii, so some have issues with this.

Personally, I try every driver too...part of benching...seems like they got the place to host 'em anyway...would be great to have a central repository to reference...every posted version will show the work being done...

Can't say anything negative about them hosting thier own files...but lots about them not doing so.

these files are leaked, obviously.

say, sapphire wants a new driver to fix X problem with 5870's, so ATI sends them a test driver "hey, did this fix it?" and some gamer/nerd at sapphire sneakily copies it on his flash drive and takes it home with him.

so are tehy from ATI? yeah, duh - no one else is gunna make their drivers. Is it safe? maybe, maybe not.

I'm gonna give em' a try soley on the BC2 loading. Sure running 1200 mem speeds all the time kinda sucks, and going from 157 to 400 too...but I run cool enough to live with those speeds @ idle till the official drivers with the actual fixes and hopefully proper true 2D clocks. I've never seen lines or had any issues but I started late in the HD5870 game, close to 2 months ago.

I'll report back with my findings also. ATM I idle 30-31C at 50% fan speed on my card unmodded/un-oc'd. But BC2 takes forever to load...so that alone would be worth a few degrees increase on idle imo..hopefully no other issues arise.

Hope it works. My 5570 on my Blu-ray Machine has both those problems on my 52" LCD.

Latest Catalyst app profiles, used with 10.3b, fix the BFBC2 flicker. It's still there, but looks like really minor tearing, rather than banding, now, and I've only seen it once.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I overcame having to install those drivers. I only replaced 2 files. Read below for details. Idle temps are still 157/300. So they are borked in the new driver.

I performed a little experiment. I already reverted back to Cat 10.3b but wanted to see if I could use 2 files from this beta to see if my load time would still decrease. Here is what I did:
-went to c:\windows\system32
-made copies of atidxx32.dll and atiumdag.dll then deleted the original files.
-went to 8.74\Packages\Drivers\Display\(pick either w7_inf, w76A_inf, xp_inf or xp6A_inf according to your OS)\B_98259\
-expanded atidxx32.dl_ and atiumdag.dl_ to atidxx32.dll and atiumdag.dll (4-6-2010)
-place them into C:\windows\system32
-logged out and back in to desktop

Then I played BC2 and noticed the following load times:
-Entering server for the 1st time took 7 seconds
-The next 2-3 maps afterwards loaded in about 4 seconds

For 64 bit users I suggest making backups, removing, replacing and expanding atidxx32.dll, atiumdag.dll, atidxx64.dll and atiumdag64.dll according to what's already found in that subdirectory of windows.

Good work. sounds easy enough. I read some people had notice performance inprovements as well. Did you see any difference?

I also read on Guru3D that it's possible to make a secondary catalyst profile with overdrive disabled to use when not gaming and it preserves the 157/300 clocks.

I wouldn't do that, my suggestion is simpler and doesn't involve having to reinstall another driver. As far as performance? It's unknown at this time. I will try later.
