Sleek-Audio Ready with SA7 High Performance In-Ear Headphones
The newest pair of high-end in-ear headphones from Sleek Audio are in the works, as press-shots surfaced on the internet. The SA7 features a wicked-looking design that focuses on materials and performance. The SA7 has a double-balanced armature design. Its housing is made with a single block of aluminum by a military metals developer, with carbon-fiber shell plating. It comes with a detachable cable. Durability turned out to be less than ideal with the SA6s and this time around it seems they have taken proper precautions to avoid the issues with the old design. The treble port is now effectively the same as that of the SA1s which is made from metal and screws on the body, and since the body is made out of one piece of aluminum we think this set will be very though. Lurking in the background is the new and improved Kleer wireless system which is rumored to cost around $100. So far the pricing of the SA7 is not final yet, but it is expected be somewhere between $350 to $400.

Wow, that is one pretty expensive aluminium casing. You can buy 1/4 metric ton for that money.

I'd rather spend my money on a good pair of headphones and not stick a rifle into my ear

How 'in-ear' are these buds when 1/5th of the whole unit is sticking out your ear??
Aside from that, you'll look like a tool. ![]() Thanks, but no thanks.

Am I missing something? How can you possibly stuff that thing inside your ear?

Yes, that bud is missing the rubber cover that goes in your ear. These things are probably less than .75 inches end to end, with the bud.

I like the look of these, but they'd be useless for me, as I don't think they'd play nice with my favourite woolly hat - which is quite tight around my ears. |

These earphones are some of the smallest ever made. Depending on the size of your ear canal almost nothing of the earphone sticks out of the ear. You can see it in relative to the diameter of the nozzle which is approximately 4 mm Ø. Overall I guess these will be 15 mm tip of eartip to end. Considering a normal insertion depth of 5-7 mm there is literally nothing sticking out.
Earphones usually a year or two depending on how well you take care of the cables and how well you treat them. I have sets that are well over two years old and still work perfectly, even the ones some claim are fragile. |

Not a big fan of earbuds or in ear headphones, I can never get them to sit in my ear and plus I hate anything being in my ear. I do like reading the reviews on them.

Well right now the earphones are not in production so a review is at least a month away. Of course I would be happy to review them, I am definitely curious about the manufacturing process of the aluminum housing and the carbon plates the engineer in me thinks they are very very interesting.
