Stopping Catalyst-Driver to take control from the fan control (HD 5870)
Hello,
I have successfully flashed my VGA-Bios of my HD 5870 (Sapphire Vapor-X OC). The only changes I made was to pimp the fan control to slow down a little bit. Everything is OK as long the Catalyst driver is not loaded (DOS, Window default vga driver). It seems that the Catalyst-Driver takes control from the fan control when loaded. Is there a way to stop the driver doing this? For the moment I use MSI Afterburner to control the fan - but it would be nice to do it without third party software. Thank's a lot. greeTz from Berlin waYan Edit: I use Catalyst 10.4a |
