OMG Eye Candy!

This isn't intended to ever be a playable game but the sheer detail and simply stunning beauty makes it well worth a look nonetheless! "Video games" can't be art, Ebert?

"Internet Explorer cannot display the web page".

I guess it was so awesome that IE breaks when it tries to load it.

Here's the high res screenshots on the author's DevientArt page. http://madmaximus83.deviantart.com/

He used Cryengine 2 to make an environment for his portfolio.

On my old "Intel Quadcore 6600" (using a "Ati Radeon HD 4870" graphic card) the map runs fine (System -> Win7 64 bit with high graphic specs ingame). The fps are between 13 and 26 frames.
WHat good are visuals if the "game" is a slideshow? Prety pictures are one thing, getting them integrated into a game is another.

He did this for visual, not for a game.

I also found it interesting for an amazing example of what the engine is capable of as well in the right hands. At least from a purely visual and aesthetic stand point. Though, yes, making a playable game of such caliber is another thing entirely.

Someone somewhere commented "Elder Scrolls V!". Yeah, right, but don't I wish...

I find that using the word's "ever" to be playable, There will be a day when this is possible, weather or not we live to see it is a totally different question

Well I meant "never" in terms of this project specifically but, sure, your statement is correct...
