Urgent!!! How good is Creative SBS 380?

i have a budget of 20$ and i was considering the creative sbs 380. i curently use a moserbaer headphones.

what does 3+3+6 Watts RMS mean??
rms stands for root mean square i know... but ti get the peak wattage i need to multiply it with a certain factor... is it 1.414 or root2 like in AC?

They are crappy. But all $20 speakers are crappy. They will make sound. I presume that's all you need.

And peak wattage doesn't matter, so don't worry about it.

I'm not being pessimistic, I'm being truthful. Listen to a good set of speakers, then listen to these, and you'll quickly realize that these do not sound that good. But, they serve their purpose, so that's what counts.

At any rate, speakers are universal. They will work with anything that accepts a headphone style plug. So yes, they will work with you mobo.

Either coincidence, a faulty mobo, speakers went bad/broke, or you're doing it wrong.

Altec Lansing BX 1221 ,VS4121 or VS2621 is another option .But VS4121 and VS 2621 is expensive (But Much better than That creative ).

Ur budget is low thr4 I suggest BXR 1221 .If u want Bass then Intex Blaster 2600 is also a option . Or increase ur budget and take VS4121 or Vs2621,best for u.

I laughed at this until I remembered plugging in my speakers to my clearly labeled mic jack for the third day in a row.

my 2 cents: garage sale or other used source. you'll probly get some better options in that range (unlike most hardware speakers from 5 years ago are still just as good)
