yes i have one... and its awesome

i have found its very easy to use and if i was a better OC i could use more of it...

It takes anything i throw at it or changes i make seem not to effect it at all..

Just last night i moved my dual 4870X2 cards lower to the 2nd and 4th pci 16x slots and it wigged out for like 10 mins, but it downloaded some patches and fixed itself and boom i was back at the normal settings at no time. When i try to OC seeing im a rookie it helps me to a point that i pick, then i take over and tweek it harder if i go too far it shuts down reboots and brings me back to the step before i went over the edge and became unstable .. allowing me to try something different each time without going to default.

Its something i am very glad to have purchased with my 1090T chip.

Ive built a very fast rig and is probaly more than i will ever need but its just so darn fun to tinker with now because of the ROG board i purchased.

thats my build log with some pics check it out

Still don't have mine yet, but specs are to the left on mine. Good to see some good feedback here on the board

Actually, you need a "BIOS update" instead of a "mobo upgrade" LOL. Jokes aside, I'M NOT HAPPY WITH THIS BS. Oh wait, what was it? Yes, no Thuban support for Asus 780a boards. I have a CH 2 w/ all it's glory PCB and shiny backplates sitting in a box doing notting. I got it thinking about an upgrade to next-gen AMDs that were supposed to be better clock per clock, we know them as 6-cores now. But where's the BIOS update to support those? There're 980a boards that are in fact WORSE THEN Crosshair 2 and yet they have support for Thubans?

980a=renamed 780a FYI, what a load of BS.

Who should I get mad at, Asus or Nvidia? IDK... all I know is this's ridicilious. End of rant ahh.

While on subject, you were looking at CH 4 Formula but there's this CH 4 Extreme coming out aswell so you might wanna take a look at that too.

No, you're right. But lemme get it straight again eh, Crosshair 2 is 780a. But it DIDN'T support 6-cores and it WAS dumb. But now, it looks IT DOES!

http://uk.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID...RA2&templete=2

The newest BIOS dated 05/2010 has support for Thuban!

Looking at this I never thought they were gonna update their old boards,

http://event.asus.com/mb/2010/m4_6cores/

"M4N72-E - M4N75TD (both 750a) and M4N98TD EVO (980a)" are weaker then Crosshair 2 or M3N-HT Deluxe (780a) but they were given Thuban support. CH2 or M3N didn't have support for 6-cores. 780a and 980a are same chipsets. The only difference is 980a got renamed and it's marketed as newer chipset... that's why 980a boards had 6-core support and 780a didn't. Now you got it?

WTH are you talking about? On one post I talked about CH-2 then told him to look at CH-4 Extreme instead of Formula? WTF read properly.

I have a question regarding the Crosshair IV Formula:
I'm about to buy one, but the only memory I can get isn't on the QVL or is way above budget. My budget for the memory is £140. Preferably want some C7 stuff (looks like the Corsair Dominator or the OCZ Reaper)

Can anyone recommend the best memory for the price, maybe from this page that will work with the Mobo without a BIOS update? Im looking to get it from Overclockers co uk.
I've tried to find the answer to this question, but ofc I got nothing reliable.
Overclockers tech support told me to contact Asus, which would be useless...
BTW, I'm getting an AMD Phenom II 555 BE with it aswell (will only be OC'ing slightly)

Thanks in advance

on my crosshair ii board i tried to use some corsair memory that was not on the QVL list they wald work at a slower speed but not at the rated speed so you mite have a problem with the corsairs.

These can run a tighter/lower tRCD which is better for AMD. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...=8&subcat=1517
