System Specs

If the 970 is priced at $500 I would consider buying it.

I paid $300 for my 920 DO so for one hundred more per core it isn't that bad of a deal.

Yeah epically when both have unlocked multipliers so I doubt you're going get amazingly higher OC results. Unless they make it a new rev.

Usually EE processors never go above $1000. So im guessing there will be like a $100 or even lesser gap between the two in different online shopping sites.

But on a serious note, i was kidding about exchanging my processor. My next upgrade is going to be in like 2012 or something lol.

Yes, in online stores that will be so when they still have 980X stock to get rid of. But 990X is intended to replace 980X. So it will be priced at the same $999 (in 1K quantity), with a likely Newegg.com price of $1099.
