Ever since that one chinese website leaked pictures of a supposed motherboard for a possible slim 360, i've held off on buying one until a slim one was announced; glad i waited, because if that really is how it'll look, i like it. plus, it probably wont overheat when summer and fall come around especially with the lack of AC here.

Can't wait for this generation of consoles to die, there is no incentive for developers to push ahead with DirectX 11. In this sense Microsoft is in direct competition with itself and the release of the new Wii-inspired Kinect/natal shows that this is unlikely to change in the immediate future.

TBH, i wouldnt rush out and get one for a few months. Just to make sure it doesnt suffer from the RRoD like the old ones. I know its unlike that M$ wouldnt have tested this Slim model properly, but you never know.

I have to admit, I like the look of the new console and the fact that it has a 250GB HDD and WiFi built in is a step in the right direction

MS and SONY are going to bleed all they can out of the 360 and PS3. I think nintendo are the only ones planning a new console anytime soon (the Wii 2 or Wii HD, whatever they ahve called it now).

LOL, good point. If you want to move around whilst playing, why not just do the activity

Wiis now and sold them both on. I just cant handle the poor graphics and acting like a maniac to play the games

. But I will say that New Super Mario Bros is worth owning a Wii for (and possibly the new Super Mario Galaxy 2....that looks like great fun!)

What worries me about 'Kinect' is this. What if you have a room full of people, will it pick them up aswell as the player? One of my kids could pick their nose and mess up my game

My Jasper Elite works great

Also, any new 360 you buy now will have the jasper with onboard memory (Im not sure if this has a different code name?) and they work great also

Yeah. But to be fair, the PlayStation Move controller is more of a blatant copy of the Wii-mote. But I suppose the Kinect is a better version (rip off) of the original Eye Toy for the PS2, so they are all as bad as each other.

I didnt like the idea of Avatars at first, but quite like them now. But I agree when you say MS are copying the Wii with the silly, simple games like bowling etc for the Kinect.

Personally, I dont want any of them! Or bloody 3D

That'd be pretty sweet, i'd definitely help manage the temps better. Jasper did a good job of keeping the RROD's at bay, so i hope they improve upon that or have it use the 'Valhalla' board.
