"Free" calculator that can show graphs?

In the word free, I mean freeware not d/l from torrent or similar.

I need something that can solve, and show steps. I do not want "algebrator", because that's a pay thing and actually... It doesn't show exactly how.

So.. Any idéas?

Thankful for any replies given.

If you would see how the books "learn", then you would change that opinion. Also, I do not have the cash to actually buy an advanced graph calc. or one that can show the steps.

WZgrappher or something like that is a free graphing calculator. You put in the equation and it does it for you. I was using that on my wifes homework about a year ago. Free too.

Now, if that is not what you wanted; then, maybe, this is better. How about an emulator for a TI-89.

TI-89 graphing calculator

You have to let it extract the files then, move the directory where you want and create a short cut to VTi.exe. You might have to run it in compatibility mode for 2000 or xp, if it gives you trouble in normal mode. I have run it in normal with no problems. But, an acquaintance of mine had to run in windows 2000 compatibility mode for some oddball reason.

check out gcalc3 - http://gcalc.net/

when it starts, double click on the type/function you want.

there's also galc2 but I haven't used that one.

If you have an Android smart phone you could download Calculus Tools. It does everything you'll need, and it's free.

It's on the Droid Market.

Other than than, I only have a 3D graphing tool. It'll work but you'll have to orientate one of the axis so your looking down it.
