Why not try a heatgun? I've done it a couple times on XBOX360's w/ Red Ring of Death and so far 3/3. That was using 600 F for 5min in a circle pattern, you don't want to concentrate the heat in one spot, on each side.

not to kick you in your balls, but next time try it GPU side up. You basically hung all the parts, then heated the solder, and of course they fell off when the solder got fluid. Someone should have tipped you off on this b4 you baked

Yeah, I'm not surprised this was an epic fail.

I've been seeing a lot of reports of baking cards, motherboards and even laptops back to life, even magazine articles, but I remain skeptical. The extended high temperature is more likely to kill off components, especially capacitors, than fix solder joints.

Also, ignore any silly suggestions to solder the components back on. These are multilayer boards and can't be done by hand and certainly not one that's already been soldered once and gone through this torture.

Those GX2s run so hot (I had several) that it's quite likely that one or both of the GPUs was already dead and those absolutely cannot be brought back to life, as the faults are deep inside them, where you can't reach.

But hey, you didn't break anything that wasn't already a paperweight, so no harm done.

I tried this on my P35 neo FR and PS3 and it worked both times, but I tried it on a cheap asrock board and some caps popped on it.

and its only temporary most of the time, the parts fail again

Being a cheaper board, Asrock likely used electrolytics, which are much more sensitive to heat than solid types, so the semi-liquid electrolyte in them will increase in pressure and try to boil, bursting the cap, as you saw.
