Help performance with usb stick

Hey guys!

I remembering reading a thread where it explained how a USB drive can help performance.
I have a PC that's running xp pro with 1gb of ram and stating that it lags during web browsing or MS office. Don't know if this will help it performance...

Does any one know what I'm talking about?

Thanks..

You are probably referring to ReadyBoost: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReadyBoost

It only applies to Vista and Win7.
