Killer games tonight. Suspense, action and of course the dutch win was brilliant. Unfortunately I had to listen to the radio for the largest part of the second half as I was driving. Jack van Gelder can give you heart attacks the way he does that radio comment.

Problem with the POLL, Uruguay are said to be out but it is infact Ghana who are out.

EDIT: Well history and the Netherlands, i live in Glasgow (Scotland) and its a touchy subject up here, Orange walk tomorrow which is 3rd July hopefully there are riots! Those always make good headlines for the news. (note a sarcastic tone in this sentence)

I like the Dutch team though as they are very good and have a favourite of mine Sniejder but yeah i dont think they will win it, Germany will tan the Argies and will win it (insert smiley face).

1974 WC Final all over again? Although it was "West Germany" then...but maybe the Dutch would win this time around.

Well, I put money on who would be in the final more than 6 months ago, at that time I also got pretty good odds at 6/1, my 2 teams for the final were Spain and the Netherlands..... nothing has yet convinced me that my £50 won't turn into £300 in a few days.... there is no doubt Germany have done really well and have been more convincing than Spain, however, now expections are high for the first time during this competition and that will play a part in favour of Spain who have had those expections upon them since they won Euro 2008, they along with Brazil have been favorites, noone really gave Germany a chance, now Germany might even be favorites to beat Spain, thats bad for Germany I think. I think Spain will beat Germany, and as for the Netherlands, they have quietly gone about their business...... Ohhhh and I also got 14/1 on Netherlands winning it

I gave Spain the benefit of the doubt as i thought they had finally shook the "choke artist's" moniker but Paraguay gave them a real run for their money and almost pulled it off!

I'm sure Germany will be able to apply more pressure, DANGEROUS pressure, than Paraguay displayed so i am expecting Spain to buckle as they have so many time's before. Netherlands vs Uruguay is a no brainer....
