Adding 1962+2002=3964

Therefore if you want to know what nation is going to win the World cup
in 2010. You only have to subtract 2010 from the magic number that we have
determined: 3964.

3964 -2010=1954

In 1954 the World cup was won by Germany!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not scientifically proven but pretty cool.

Now if Germany wins... I think I'd feel creeped out whenever I see you around!

__________

A final between Germany and Netherlands would be interesting, imagine W1zzard and Dan fighting it out...

That 3964 thing is flawed, Brazil actually won the world cup in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, 2002

Also, the Dutch have never won it, so I guess we need to wait 1954 years? And who wins after the year 3964?

Prediction: all teams that have faced Spain so far have played 10 defending and tried to play long balls through to a solitary striker; however, Germany plays an attacking game. If they don't score early and providing Spain can play to their full potential, I think Germany will leave too many gaps that Spain will most cetainly use to their advantage.

Chili, Paraguay, Honduras, they all mostly played to their hearts content as far as I have seen... The only ten-men-defenses were Switzerland and Portugal.

Chile and Paraguay played defensively, sending long balls through to the strikers. In other words, their game was focused on ensuring that Spain couldn't play their game, whilst hoping to take advantage of a counter-attack. Germany attacks and attacks very effectively; however, this will also provide Spain with opportunities denied to the team up to this point. The real question is whether or not Germany's attacks will prove effective early enough in the game.

You haven't watched enough Spain games then. Even they themselves don't really know "their game".

The backbone of the Spanish game is built on the style employed by Barça (my team). I live in Spain and I know every player in the squad and what they're capable of. Spain's style revolves around ball possession and is clearly defined. I understand what you're saying, but the fact that Spain have underperformed up to this point has more to do with the merit of opposing teams who effectively neutralised the Spanish style (and the fact that Torres isn't fit). Germany, based on their performance so far, will attack and attempt to score goals rather than attempting to prevent Spain from playing their game. If Spain play to half their potential, Germany hasn't a hope, but this is football and as we all know, anything can happen, particularly in a World Cup semi-final.

Its just a prediction. Well we'll just have to wait and see. I've already placed a whole load of bets (about $1000) lol. So i want Germany to win. Actually, i need Germany to win it.

I just need Spain to beat them, I only bet on who would be in the final, not who would win the final, the odds were better for me that way. Whilst patriotic, I was not stupid enough to bet on England

No place for patriotism when you're putting your money on the line and yeah, England, in typical fashion, were pretty lacklustre. I don't know why the British media keeps building them up before every major tournament.

I reckon you're due some money

Don't really care who wins Germany v. Spain. Just want a good game with some more great goals like yesterday's game (and no BS officiating!) . Although I would like to see Spain beat Germany just so the octopus continues his streak.

LOL Why mention Torres when he has done f**k all ever since the Euros.

Um...you do know that the way Germany attacks would be how they would prevent Spain from "playing their game"? The only chance Spain has of winning is if they actually try attacking on the off instead of building it up. In other words, "not playing their game", while not relying solely on David Villa. I mean, someone else has to score for them.

And Barcelona is one of the most classless clubs. The only difference between Real Madrid and Barcelona is location.

I mentioned Torres to make precisely the point that you just reiterated.

We disagree: Germany attacking will create spaces that should allow Spain to "play their game".

Calling Barcelona classless is an opinion that you are entitled to, but no other club has won every single title available in a single season and their football is generally complimented in most quarters. Comparing Madrid's football with Barça's football shows a gross lack of understanding.

I'm holding my breath, it's been 32 years since we made the finals, and also the first time since I can remember that we've entered a tournament without bragging and insisting on playing wonderful football. So I honestly have no idea what to expect of the finals.

Of course I hope we win, monday will be a very, very hard day to go to work

Hoping Germany wins against Spain.

I vaguely remember when England last won the World Cup , thats probably because we have only won it once and we aint likely to win it again, certainly not for some time anyways, I continue to be dissapointed and have been at the last 8 world cups, apart from perhaps Italia 90 when really we should have beaten Germany in that Semi Final, they were certainly the better penalty takers, we, on that day were certainly the better footballers, but at that time we had a very rare commodity, he was a guy who was not just World Class but IMO World's best, that one amongst a bunch of excellent players that just stood out, I remember really only Zidane and Maradonna doing that in the last 25 years or so besides him, problem is today..... there are far to many players tagged "World Class" but too few of them that really stand out week in week above all others.

I have bet on Germany all the way through. Lets hope they win it.

I never bet on the USA at the world cup. It is our 6th or 7th favorite professional sport IMO.
