Geforce FX 5200 Query
Hey guys,
Please post what you think: I got an ASUS Geforce FX 5200 128mb 64bit with no OC at all ...i dont know why, but i think it is just extremly compatible with my computer...i have no other explanation. The comp its in has a 2.6Ghz, Hyper Threading, 800FSB, 1GB (2x512mb) PC3200 RAM @ 400 MHz, Abit mobo In counter strike:source, i got most settings on high, Trilinear Filtering and with 10 on 10 bots i get a decent 20-30 FPS, which is no lag at all. I can also play warcraft 3 at full settings with NO lag. I once changed gfx cards into the comp i got now (look @ the system specs under my name) and i couldnt play warcraft 3 on lowest settings without lag, and source with low settings and like 5 on 5 bots i got like less than 10 FPS (SUPER lag!). I really dont know why this is because now with the X800 i got in this comp i get over 100 FPS in source and up to 170. Does anyone else know why? EDIT: I once had a 128mb 6600 (it died on me) and i got over 60 FPS on my other comp in source (the one with the abit mobo) and in this comp i got like 20-25 with EXACT same settings/map/bots, etc. Also, just another query, on Battlefield 2, on this comp w/ the X800, (full comp specs under my name) the default settings all go to high (except for lighting on medium, and no anti-antilising) and the pixels on 1024x768 @60Hz. With these settings i get bad lag with 16 bots. As soon as i put the pixels UP to 1280x960 @60Hz, i get NO lag at all, same map, same bots. My desktop resolution is 1280x1024 @60Hz, and its a 19" LCD. I dont know how to add bots when creating a server on my LAN, so i cant test how the lag goes with that. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated ![]() Cheers Pinchy Last edited by Pinchy; May 29, 2006 at 10:27 AM. |
