I have the 60GB version and love it. I went back to a traditional HDD for a week and thought the entire computer was lagging, once you go SSD you just can't go back to mechanical.

I agree with that. Still waiting on my Sandforce 100GB. I had a 60GB Solid 2 in my desktop, and since I've had to pull it out, I've felt the same way.

I'm also waiting on a Sandforce 100gb.
Prices need to come down a little more though. My little OEM 74gb VelociRaptor is starting to act a bit funny on me.Needs to be under $250 for me. Even then, price vs. performance just isn't worth it... But it IS a hobby afterall.

No like I'm waiting for the delivery confirmation number. Paid for
I think you'd be happy with the price I paid

SSDs prices are continually dropping which is great! I still haven't tried SSDs yet

OCZ Vertex 120GB 220 AR
I have a 30gb OCZ Vertex that I am thinking of replacing with this drive for more OS space. Will it be a big difference in speed in a bad way?

In a good way. Most SSDs (other than Sandforce SSDs) get a bit quicker once you're out of the 60GB range. Sandforce SSDs are pretty much the same speed no matter what.

OCZ Vertex 120GB 220 AR
Can you elaborate a little bit more? I have a system with OCZ Vertex in, and I get the same freezing too. What was the cause of this?
From what I understand, the GC should run approx. once per week for optimal performance. |

I suggest you make a separate thread about what's going on with your drive.
