I don't think there is any way to exclude it from the safely remove hardware thing, the only thing I can think of would be to try and disable the drive from the device manager if you don't use it. Don't complain too much though, users like me with the Nforce 3 chipset using nvidias drivers with a SATA hard disk permanently have the safely remove hardware icon for our hard drives!

Have you tried disabling your card reader from device manager?

yes that would remove this green arrow, but then it's not working anymore and that's not a solution.
I also tried to change the caching strategy by windows,b ut the arrow is still there I must be possible to tell windows that these Drives are Internal and won't be removed at all. May be theres a tool out that changes this state? that's why i'm asking

. In that case I don't think there is any way to change this setting then I'm afraid. You learn to live with it, trust me, I have done with my SATA drives.

Found this on another site. * Click Start > Run and type: regedit Press ENTER * Navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\nvata * Right-click in the right hand pane and choose New > DWORD * Create a new DWORD value: DisableRemovable * Right-click on this new value and choose Modify and change the value to 1 * Close Regedit * Restart Windows

Nice find, thanks. I might as well use that, being removable offers no advatages to my internal drives.
