For future reference, check here http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/
Just type in the search box and see if we have it on the servers

Realtek AC'97 Audio Codecs
Realtek High Definition Audio Codecs ![]() EDIT: Is there an exclamation mark in the device manager? Have you check the sound properties and made sure it is active and checked to make sure some other device is not active or interfering ( like ATi HDMI audio )? have you removed the jumpers from the audio header on the motherboard, this would make no audio come out the back sockets and audio would come out of the on case sockets (if connected)

no i havent removed anything, my front panel audio output doesnt work either.
and anyways i think its the mobo, its been troubling for some time now. the +12V reading on the mobo says its 4.8V,and the processor voltage is fluctuating(decreases now and then). I think one of the voltage capacitors have leaked out/died. Note that these are electrolytic capacitors. |
