System Specs

Poor 64 bit Crysis performance; 32 bit fine

64 bit benchmarks gimme about ~6fps each

32 bit benchmarks gimme ~25 fps each

in real gameplay 32 bit plays fine, 64 bit not at all... People say that 64 bit is supposed to even play better and at worst -20%... So what's wrong? is my install bad?

Probably a strange compatibility or strange driver issue.

Actually I just tested 64 bit DX 9 and it runs great too, so the problem is only with crysis 64 bit DX10?!?

does 64 bit DX10 look better then 32 bit DX10?

Thats quite good performance. I think it could just be a bug maybe ? I doubt many people use 64bit crysis on DX10.

yea, though I had gotten the redistributable from June 2010 since I didn't have internet at the time... I'll get the downloadable one just in case... windows up to date

If it were DirectX, wouldn't it happen in 32 bit DX10?

Probably faulty BIOS? Consider updating your BIOS with the latest one.

I wouldn't say its much of a problem. The only benefit of x64 is extra memory access which crysis doesn't require.

O/T but I don't feel like starting a new thread... is there an easy fix for 32 bit games to be able to access more memory? FSX keeps on crashing with "not enough memory" message

You're a girl? scuse me meant woman

I seriously think there may be some issues with either your memory or your motherboard, which is why I mentioned updating your BIOS.
