It's the entry level AW laptop in a "netbook" body.. hard to call it a netbook with a 335m and an i7 cpu imo but I think the $749 price only includes a c2d and not an i7. IIt is nice but for nearly the same price or just a few bucks more you could get something a bit better.

For $749 shipped it's a pretty decent deal though. Since it is so small it's perfect for travel but I think I would grow tired of the small display very quickly.

If I had $800 to spend on a laptop I'd probably go ahead and grab this simply for the wow factor of owning something this cool looking even though it does have a few shortcomings. (no gigabit ethernet jack, small screen, flat keys, poorly rated hinges, small capacity 5400rpm hdd, 1.3ghz cpu etc)

That's the i5 version. Sweet deal, you should be able to play Crysis on mid/high on it.

I do not see where you see you get the i5 version for $749

I see the i5 version for 999 -$100 discount for $899

$750 dollar netbook is still a $750 netbook. Pretty sure all that "horsepower" still isn't gonna save your eyes trying to "game" on that "screen."

I see that too, I didn't actually go to the Dell page until now. Hrm hrm.

You tried to apply the code at checkout btw? I can't go there now, browser hangs when I try to.

The one thing I don't like about the M11x is the fact that it has a 11.6" screen in a 12/13" body.

Apart from that, it's a great subnotebook and that's certainly a great price to pay for it. If I could get that laptop in my country for that price, I would consider buying it for sure.

This. Yes, we're arguing semantics but an 11.5" screen doesn't read as laptop to me.

Never played a gameboy, Gamegear, PSP, DS etc then? would be perfectly fine for gaming on and its truly capable of mobile gaming unlike some "Gaming" laptops, I like it.

I tried going onto Dell's online store (not through the link provided), but the code doesn't work at checkout for either the Core 2 Duo or i5/i7 models.

Oh well. Would rather have the 15 inch MSI with the 5850 or the Asus G51/G60 instead anyway...

You can't really compare them. If you're used to play lets say Crysis on 22 inch monitor it's huge step to play on a 11 incher.

If you're a hardcore gamer you would want a larger screen imo, but this one might have its uses.

11" inch screen way to small for FPS.. could you imagine trying to see enemies from a distance before they see you, they would look like tic-tacs with machine guns.

Just like shevanel said. 11" screen is too small. Go buy a M17x lol.
