Patriot Memory Announces the Xporter Rage Series USB Flash Drives

Patriot Memory, a global pioneer in high-performance memory, NAND flash and computer peripheral solutions, today announced the immediate availability of the Xporter Rage USB Flash Drive. These drives are designed to provide incredible performance and convenience and are available in capacities from 8GB to 64GB.

The Xporter Rage USB flash drives are built around a quad-channel performance solution, providing read speeds of up to 27MB/s and write speeds of up to 25MB/s. Convenience and ease of use is enabled through a capless housing lightly coated with a touch of rubber. thats a very high write speed for a USB 2.0 drive

At least these are worth mentioning. However these speeds are yet again a disappointment.
Their own Patriot XporterXT 2GB that i have for ages can do 30MB/s. Lexar Lightning 4, also ages old can do 35MB/s. So what's all about this!? Boost Drive keys were slower than XT, Rage is also slower. I don't get it. I thought products should improve, not decline in performance with each release.
